The Shinxbat - Revised

EDIT: Is it good now, Thea? Guys, I owe so much to Silverbirch for not only encouraging me to make a stronger effort on this picture, but painstakingly guiding me through every step of lighting, shading, clouds, rocks so that I COULD. It's not as good as she could do it, but I've learned a lot from her. Thank you! This picture is barely recogniseable as what it was before.

It's been so long since I submitted a picture to that I had to enter this contest!

Theme: Alternate Interpretations
What if the Pokemon we know and love had been based on different animals or items? What if Charmander, rather than a reptile, had been a rodent? What if the Eeveelutions were based not on furry predators, but reptiles? Be sure to depict one or more Pokemon as something other than their official designs imply while keeping them recognizable. Let your imagination go crazy and see what you can come up with!

I chose Shinx, because its huge ears and weird eyes make me think of a bat!
